This
unit will focus on ideas of heritability, natural selection, and changes in
environmental conditions. Specifically, we will emphasize how genetic traits
are passed on from one generation to the next and how those traits may influence
the survival of individuals in a population depending on environmental conditions.
Finally, we will investigate how the survival of certain individuals in a
population affects the makeup of the population as a whole over time, leading
to the idea of natural selection.
