CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
School Leadership Seminars
Building a professional learning community requires inclusive support of a whole school. The School Leadership Seminars will help a small team build the understanding of what it takes to produce strong, lasting, positive change in a school.

Literacy Across the Curriculum
This workshop series will focus on content literacy (in the four core content areas) and strategies for teaching content literacy.

Inquiry Based Instruction
This workshop series will address the concept of "inquiry-based" learning and instruction, focusing primarily (though not exclusively) on science education.

Mathematics
The UM Center for Mathematics Education at UM-Dearborn has developed a sequence of courses focusing of deepening understanding of mathematics needed for teaching a constructivist curriculum. More information is available through the DPS Mathematics Director's (Nancy Varner) Office, or the Wayne RESA (Carolyn Siebers).
FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
Lesson Study Facilitation
These sessions will focus on the process of instructional design and review known as Lesson Study. This method allows teachers to examine their practice by collaborating with other teachers and reviewing student work and response to instruction. Workshops on facilitation of Lesson Study will begin this summer.
